Abstract
Laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair (LIHR) offers number of benefits over open inguinal hernia repair (OIHR), so does the central neuraxial blockade over general anaesthesia (GA). At present, LIHR is often performed under GA, while spinal anaesthesia (SA) is preferred for OIHR. We report a case of successful LIHR conducted via Trans-Abdominal Preperitoneal (TAPP) approach, initially planned and subsequently attempted by Total extraperioneal (TEP) method, which was abandoned on surgical grounds.
